It's amazing how close this park is to the CBD but how it feels a million miles away! There's no traffic noise and the setting next to the lake is really picturesque.
Cycling with the kids is popular on the tracks and open spaces are great for ball games. Covered tables for picnics are provided and there’s also covered BBQ facilities. The toddler playground is fenced off and partly sheltered by large overhanging trees. It's geared to toddlers with rubber paths and toddlers swings, fort and amphitheatre. For pre-scholers there are loads of climbing frames with monkey bars and rings. Toilets are located near by as is the Lakeside Café (across the road) and on street parking is free but limited to one hour.
