After overcoming my own self-esteem issues & being a mother of two, I began Groovy Games with the hope to broaden the awareness of confidence and self-esteem issues in young Australian children.

Groovy Games promotes active fitness in kids by promoting learning through play, imagination and exploring the world around them, this providing a much needed boost for confidence and self-esteem.

I have really been enjoying writing and contributing articles about kids fun, fitness and healthy lifestyle ideas for many different websites and blogs. I’m very excited to be part of the Little Explorers team of article writers.

Joanna Robertson - Article Writer
I was born in England in a village with the dubious name of Pratts Bottom. My family came to Australia in 1977 to start a new life. I met my husband in 1981 and we have been together ever since. Our sons are 12 and 14 and family has always been our priority, which is why I was fortunate enough to enjoy a decade of being a “stay at home Mum.

My family is my source of ideas and inspiration for my writing endeavours and I hope to write more with a little tinge of humour….laughter IS the best medicine.

I have recently moved to the Sunshine Coast from London- although I am originally from New Zealand.

I have a son, aged two and a husband (34- although sometimes it’s hard to tell!)- both of whom are enjoying their new beach-bum lifestyles.

After a slightly false start in radio journalism (I slept in and missed the 6am bulletin one too many times), I moved on to copywriting, promotions and planning in radio and television. I am now enjoying the challenge of writing something longer than a 30 second radio spot… although the temptation to write ‘hurry, only while stocks last’ is never far away!

Since having kids, I have gained a Diploma of Interior Design and built two homes and am firmly addicted to the process. In between working as a Contracts Administrator, I am involved in anything creative including writing, cooking, scrapbooking and interior design. I love spending time with my family, entertaining and shopping!
